Clinical Protocols in Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology Second Edition
This book provides a comprehensive review of the common and less commonly encountered Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (PAG) conditions that present in an ambulatory as well as surgical settings. By design, we list conditions in an alphabetized table of contents to facilitate quick reference in an office
or emergency room setting, allowing clinicians to locate information in an expedited fashion. We have placed information in a bulleted text format listing key points about each condition, followed by what to ask for in history taking, then what to look for on physical examination, and concluding with how to manage conditions. We have included helpful photographs, figures, algorithms, and some patient ques-tionnaires where pertinent to assist both the student and the medical practitioner in their care for a PAG patient.
In this second edition, we have included as authors current and past fellows in PAG, along with their mentors and PAG colleagues. A third of the proceeds from this book will support the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology (NASPAG) Fellowship Research Committee to enhance research in the field of PAG.
We are grateful for CRC Press/Taylor & Francis for assisting us with this second edition and thankful to the authors and our families who supported us while we had the privilege to put this edition together.
